Interior designers plan and organise the design of commercial and domestic interiors. Projects may take place in a range of settings, including:
- office spaces and industrial premises;
- retail locations,
- educational institutions and statutory boards,
- residential developments
Tasks may include
- Meeting of clients/ users to understand clients' needs
- Attending of site show & get all necessary information ready for proposal
- Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Working in a team with other designers
- Deadlines may require working additional hours
- Able to work with long hours, weekend and public holiday.
