Purpose and Scope
- Provide technical support on process treatment scheme to support the Operation team in trouble shooting and plant optimization to ensure plants full compliance
- Provide technical support to Project and Commercial team, on process scheme and OPEX for new plant and existing plant
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out plant performance monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization for Water Assets to ensure good plant availability, reliability and optimization.
- Establish and continuously improve the monitoring matrix to enable detection of short term and long term process and performance abnormality. Work closely with O&M team to address the issues.
- Establish, improve and monitor the plant and system mass balance, identify the abnormality such as leaks, uncounted loss, meter/instrument inaccuracy, and efficiency deterioration etc. Lead and coordinate other stakeholders to rectify the issues.
- Provide technical expertise in the optimization initiative conceptualization and implementation. Keep track of the performance and cost savings benefits qualification and post implementation review of optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical and operation insight to support in plant improvement projects and new energy and utilities project including process engineering review, calculations for mass/energy balances, equipment sizing, key equipment selection, material compatibility considerations and other duties assigned for process and engineering evaluation.
- Initiate any potential R&D for plant optimization.
- Support in engineering evaluation, plant improvement considerations, and calculations for mass/energy balances, equipment sizing, rectification of instruments and equipment suitability, piping design, hydraulic modeling, chemical properties considerations and other duties assigned for process and engineering evaluation.
- Support performance manager for any other assigned work.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degrees in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 3 years process engineering experience in Water / Wastewater treatment plant or relevant Process Plant
