The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a group of companies or organization. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing financial plans and forecasts. This involves analyzing financial data, developing budgets and financial models, and providing recommendations for business decisions based on this analysis.
- Supporting CEO/CFO on fundraising matters, including preparation of financial models, updating investor decks, and liaising with advisors and corporate secretaries on fundraising matters.
- Preparation of budgets and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the Group's cash flow, planning for funding requirements, and ensuring that the Group has adequate liquidity.
- Establishes and enforces financial controls and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, including consolidating group accounts, preparing management reports, and liaising with auditors and relevant government authorities.
- Review of GST and corporate tax computation to ensure compliance with various tax legislation. Provide tax planning advice, where necessary.
- Work closely with the corporate secretary to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support and advice on operational accounting, budgeting, and compliance issues, and may also assess the profitability and viability of projects.
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal policies and procedures, and may also propose automation or digitization initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments on feasibility studies and special projects.
- Coordinate with other departments to develop and maintain financial operations workflows.
- Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high performance and career growth.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or related field. Professional qualification (CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and support CEO/CFO with investor relations work
- Well-versed in both English & Chinese
