Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the freight and logistics industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Understand client needs and propose customized logistics solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities; provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Achieve sales targets and business growth objectives set by management.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
- Stay updated with industry developments and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record (5+ years) in business development or sales within the freight or logistics industry.
- Strong network of contacts and relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve sales targets consistently.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to assess opportunities and develop effective strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software; familiarity with logistics management systems is advantageous.
