What you'll do:
As a Senior Java Developer (Contract), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and building java-based applications, adhering strictly to coding and quality standards. You will be instrumental in building components within an event-driven micro service architecture, focusing on delivering new RFQ connectivity streams. Your excellent communication skills will be put to use as you liaise continually with project teams, providing updates on development progress. Additionally, your collaborative nature will shine through as you work closely with the application support/production team, taking on 3rd line support responsibilities when necessary.
- Maintain and build java-based applications following coding and quality standards
- Build components in an event-driven micro service architecture to deliver on new RFQ connectivity streams
- Take responsibility for successful delivery of solutions
- Communicate continually with project teams explaining progress on development effort
- Collaborate with application support/production team and perform 3rd line support responsibilities
- Assist in defining software architectures and explore existing systems
What you bring:
As a Senior Java Developer (Contract), you bring strong core programming experience in Java (>=8), including multi-threaded programming with low-latency constraints. Your expertise includes practical knowledge of Kafka or any stream processing platform. You have relevant experience using GIT and related Code Review software. Your skill set also includes knowledge of web technologies such as Angular >9, Javascript, AJAX, HTML5,JQuery. Experience with Weblogic configuration and deployment is beneficial. You are familiar with MS SQL or Oracle Server and have knowledge relating to DevOps practices and tooling. An understanding of Agile practices will be advantageous in this role.
