We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team and lead the development and optimization of our Banking API Gateway. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of banking services, improve user experiences, and drive the strategic direction of our API gateway initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for API gateway projects.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
- API Development and Management:Collaborate with developers to design, develop, and manage APIs that meet business requirements.
Ensure the API gateway aligns with the overall architecture and security policies.
- Project Management:Lead API gateway projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
Coordinate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Analysis and Optimization:Analyze the performance of the API gateway and identify areas for improvement.
Recommend and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Stakeholder Communication:Act as the primary point of contact between business units and technical teams.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
- Documentation and Training:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for API gateway processes and systems.
Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external partners on API gateway functionalities and best practices.
- Compliance and Security:Ensure that API gateway solutions comply with banking regulations and security standards.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to maintain the integrity of the API gateway.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
- Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry.
Proven experience with API gateway technologies and API management.
- Skills:Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and services.
Proficiency in API development, integration, and management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
