Drive Operational Excellence Across Our Global Refining Network

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manufacturing Knowledge Engineer to join our Knowledge Management team within our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organization. In this pivotal role, you will drive continuous improvement by facilitating Communities of Practice (CoPs) and capturing valuable knowledge from our top-performing assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Way: Facilitate selected CoPs and expert forums, promoting the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across our global refining network.
  • Knowledge Capture: Conduct site visits and workshops to gather tacit knowledge and insights from our operational experts.
  • Structure and Document: Develop efficient processes and tools to document best practices in a clear and accessible format.
  • Knowledge Hub Development: Contribute to the design and content of our Knowledge Hub platforms, ensuring ease of use and effectiveness for our global workforce.
  • Technical Advisor: Provide expert technical guidance and support to plant managers on targeted improvement initiatives.
  • Training and Adoption: Assist with the development and delivery of training programs, ensuring the successful adoption of best practices across sites.
  • Performance Measurement: Track key metrics that demonstrate the tangible impact of knowledge sharing on operational key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the refining industry.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in two or more key manufacturing domains, such as operations, maintenance, or HSE.
  • Project Leadership: Experience leading multi-site continuous improvement projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge Engineering: Proficiency in knowledge engineering methodologies and digital tools.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Technical Translation: Ability to effectively distill complex technical expertise for diverse audiences.
