Main Duties:
- Involves in all aspects relating to the Tender, Design and Construction Management of all types of Civil and Structural Systems for Industrial Facilities Buildings.
- In-charge of the design of Concrete and Steel Structures.
- Assists Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule and quality.
- Prepares, Issues and Evaluates Tender packages.
- Coordinates with Architectural and Process, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines, and Quantity surveyors.
- Address site issues related to design.
- Liaises with Consultants and sub-contractors.
- Provides direction and coaching to other junior team members.
- Manages timely submission and approvals from local authorities.
- Mentoring of Civil & Structural engineers during tendering, design and construction phase based on best practices defined in the engineering efficiency checklist.
Other Duties:
- Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent.
- Ad hoc duties as determined by management.
Minimum Qualification
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Diploma holders with additional 2 - 3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications.
- 6 - 8 years of Design and Construction experience
- 1 - 2 years additional experience for each higher grade of progression
