Sanya Overseas Chinese School is one of the top private schools in Sanya city, Hainan province in China. The Sino-Sin Class is the international wing of the school, featuring Singaporean top management, Cambridge English and Singapore Mathematics in addition to the mandatory local curriculum. Job Description

1. Reporting to the Vice-Principal, you shall be responsible for our English (Cambridge English) and Mathematics (Singapore Primary Mathematics) programme

2. Good command of the English Language and good knowledge in teaching methodology of Singapore Primary School Mathematics syllabus;

3. Lead both the native speaking teachers (English) and Singaporean teachers (English and Mathematics) to effectively augment the local curriculum with the international programmes.

4. Contribute to subject curriculum development;

5. Plan, prepare, conduct lessons and evaluate learners’ progress;

6. Design conducive environment to achieve learning;

7. Arrange field trips, and organize on-site learning;

8. Modify the Singapore Mathematics curriculum and make lesson plans, teaching notes and worksheets suitable for the students;

9. Provide quality instruction using diverse teaching and assessment approaches appropriately;

10. Effectively manage classrooms to promote learning;

11. Design & implement suitable teaching-related documents;

12. Participate in school academic and non-academic activities;

13. Engage in collaborative work with Chinese & International colleagues;

14. Passionate, open-minded, willing to learn and cross into another culture.

Position Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferably Singapore NIE-trained with PGDE qualified, or equivalent;

2. Clear criminal background check;

3. Two years of experience in subject preferred.

4. Two years of school middle management experience preferred.

5. Bilingual in Chinese preferred.
