- Develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other drafting software.
- Collaborate with interior designers to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Create layout plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for construction and installation.
- Ensure drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in material selection and procurement based on project specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to communicate design intent and resolve technical issues.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from designers, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized documentation and records of all drawings and revisions.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Design Drafter or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar drafting and 3D modeling software.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Ability to interpret and implement design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
