Job Description & Requirements
The Data Integration Consultant is a strong ETL Developer that works as part of the Data Warehouse and Integration team. The developer has strong design, development and testing knowledge in data warehouse technologies. The Consultant will develop, unit test, support and maintain ETL jobs based on business requirements and technical specifications following project standards.
You will be based in Singapore, and be involved in solutions project delivery and support, and pre sales. The position offers a challenging environment with leading edge technology and strategic organizations as its customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing Data-platform solutions based on requirements defined by line of business owners and stakeholders, and staying within budgeted estimates
- Crafting functional requirements for the implementation of their ECM solution
- Maintain a high degree of proficiency with the relevant Data-product modules and their appropriate application to DI /ETL requirements
- Responsible for testing, monitoring and validating data integration activity, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, movement, loading and updating processes
- Ensures data integration processes meets service level requirements
- Designs and writes the scripts required to extract, transform, clean and move data and metadata so it can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart or operational data store
- Coding and testing program modules; assisting in design
- Assisting in the integration of technical and application components
- Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications; providing user support
- Participating in execution and documentation of tests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues impacting deployed solutions; work collaboratively to resolve issues
- Provide knowledge transfer to customers appointed representatives and users
- Collaborate with other appointed professionals, transferring expertise in delivering and supporting solutions
REQUIREMENTS
· Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
· Preferably 5 years relevant experience in DI / ETL solution design, implementation, and support
· Hands-on experience in implementation and deployment of any of the following Data Integration Technologies/Solutions: SAP, Oracle, IBM, Informatica, Microsoft SQL Server and on SAS Data Quality Solution is a plus
· SQL writing experience
· Understanding of Data warehouse concepts, project lifecycle, and roles and responsibilities
· Understanding of change management practices
· Understanding of Data modelling and able to read Data models
· Able to work in a team and independently and meet timelines
