Role of Junior Pastry / Pastry Cook:
- Maintain high standards of hygiene
- Responsible for preparing a wide variety of artisan pastry products
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, improver etc.
- Ensure all equipment are clean and kept properly
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the management relating to the service and cleanliness of the café/ bistro
Experience & Skills:
- Proven skills in artisanal pastry products will be advantageous
- Possess knowledge of sanitation principles, nutrition, food preparation and baking techniques
- Possess food hygiene and safety certification
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays (5-day roster)
