Our client is a Engineering and construction company that specializes designing and delivering mega and significant projects. They are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for their expanding business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, detailing, specification preparation and construction oversight for the full range of Mechanical packages for design and build of advanced technology and life science projects;
- Determining and defining sustainability targets;
- Review of the design of Mechanical systems, produced by other team members, for technical compliance with specified and contracted client/customer requirements;
- Performs monthly department meetings and provides a status update on development of projects and business development;
- Informs and updates on latest technical developments and codes/ standards updates in the industry in regards to Mechanical engineering;
- Mentoring of the Lead Engineers with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
- Creates development and training plan for each direct report;
- Ensure staff are trained to regulatory codes (e.g. FDA) local engineering codes, and are kept aware of industry innovation, developments and best practices
- Cooperating with the Commercial Group to develop the associated cost during the programming, conceptual and detailed design phases, for BLS Projects;
- Act as a Technical controller and make sure the Mechanical submission and approvals from local authorities are carried out;
REQUIREMENTS
- Master/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 - 12 years professional related experience including 5 years in a leadership capacity
- At least 10 years of Design and Construction experience in a high-tech industry or other multiple discipline orientated construction business
- Worked in Singapore and fully aware of the Singapore local Authority Laws and
- Affinity for technical problem solving
- Proficient and confident in technical Communication
- Extensive knowledge of local codes and regulations for design implementation
- Leadership to influence
- Stakeholder Management

- Working hours: Depending on Project
- Salary: To be Discussed based on experience (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
