Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our cross-sector
product engineering team. This hands-on role requires a candidate who is comfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating with offshore vendors. In addition to bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions; this role will lead the Technical Business Analyst practice, ensuring best practices and standards are maintained across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Mentorship, and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead the Technical Business Analyst chapter, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Mentor and guide junior business analysts, providing training and development opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the team and the Technical Business Analyst chapter.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Agile methodologies and enterprise software development.
Technical Engagement, Requirements Management, and Solution Design:
- Engage directly with development teams to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
- Work closely with developers, architects, and quality assurance teams to design and validate solutions that meet business needs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Provide technical expertise during the design and implementation phases of projects.
- Ensure technical solutions align with business requirements and organizational standards.
Matrix Collaboration and Vendor Management:
- Navigate and manage relationships within a matrix organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Coordinate with offshore vendors, managing deliverables and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Documentation and Communication:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and senior management to communicate project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience and Skills Required:
- Degree with Business/ Computer Science/ Information technology, with minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment, preferably within enterprise product engineering.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
- Experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Hands-on technical experience in software development processes and tools.
- Prior experience working as a developer.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating with offshore vendors.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process modelling, and technical documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Technical proficiency in software development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, C4 model).
- Knowledge and experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) with Gherkin.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex information and present it clearly to both technical and non- technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise software solutions and cloud technologies.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.
- Knowledge of database management, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or MedTech industry.
