Job Summary:
Our progressive and expanding company is in search of a (ACMV) technical officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Interfaces with Facilities supervisors and managers to resolve building operation problems and design issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Knowledge of ACMV/HVAC air-conditioning.
· To ensure the maintenance programs and rectification jobs are managed by a team of technicians efficiently.
· Responsible for the daily AC thermal comfort is within acceptable limits.
· Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
· Provides project status of assigned task list items to Facilities supervisors, managers, technicians, and other internal department personnel, as necessary.
· Preparing reports and documentation.
· Coordinating contractors for installation and maintenance projects.
· Checking work completed by contractors for compliance and safety.
· Plan, schedule and supervise Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities, priorities and reallocate resource when required, on ACMV equipment system under the responsibilities of the Facilities organization.
· Evaluating the efficiency of systems and equipment within a facility.
· Lead and participate in equipment and system abnormalities root cause analysis, attend review meeting, and provide updates, then execute corrective and preventive action for continual improvement, this includes installation and modification work on existing or new mechanical equipment and system.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Be able to conduct conditional assessment for existing systems.
· Well versed in local regulatory requirements.
· Estimate labour for complex mechanical system installation.
· Develop expertise in equipment as assigned.
· Must possess leadership abilities and good client maintenance skills.
Education and Experience:
· Possess a diploma in Engineering (specializing in mechanical, electrical, or industrial disciplines).
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ACMV works or a related field.
· Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles and building processes.
· Thorough understanding of building regulations and a commitment to health and safety standards.
· Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with non-engineering team members.
· Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot on-site.
