Job Description:
- Perform end-to-end transactions for equities, mutual funds, and options, including corporate actions.
- Check and verify that all securities/trade transactions are completed accurately and settlements instructions are processed promptly.
- Review all trade matching reports and ensure all failed trades are promptly resolved.
- Ensure sufficient funding for trade settlements.
- Reconcile trades/shares and corporate actions for equities, mutual funds, and options.
- Adhere to control procedures, identify gaps, and ensure controls are implemented to close those gaps.
- Setup process flows for options/mutual funds with counterparties and streamline processes.
- Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms.
- Manage, escalate, and resolve all requests/inquiries/issues/errors and identify policy gaps to formulate streamlined processes.
- Participate in project initiatives and take on ad hoc tasks as required.
- Support change by assisting in devising and implementing improved processes and global entity operations functions.
- Experience rotation of roles within the Operations team and assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- More than 6 years of relevant experience in equities or derivatives in either retail or institutional settings.
- Experience in trade support/settlement in stockbroking firms, custodians/banks, or clearinghouses.
- Possess knowledge and experience in equities, options, mutual funds, etc.
- Understand the entire trade flow from front to back and the reconciliation process.
- Knowledge of payment and receipt processes.
- Strong attention to detail and intermediate problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) as communication with Chinese-speaking counterparts in China is necessary.
- Enjoys engaging in teamwork with a positive and constructive attitude.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
