Program Coordinator, Allkin Senior Service

Reporting to the Group Supervisor, the Program Coordinator / Community Connector (CC) is to connect with the seniors, the community and partners to empower seniors to age in their community.
- Plan and conduct outreach to raise awareness about centre programmes and services and to enrol new seniors as centre members
- Conduct basic assessment to identify socially isolated seniors and those with needs.
- Collaborate with grassroots, community partners and service providers to build up community network, which includes initiating and coordinating community engagement efforts
Active Ageing to encourage active living and empower seniors.
- Organise activities at Eldercare centre and off-site locations.
- Co-create activities with volunteers.
- Empower seniors to be volunteers.
Befriending and Buddying to prevent social isolation.
- Manage volunteers to provide befriending/buddying services.
- Befriend seniors.
Care and Support to ensure seniors with needs are supported.
- Provide information and referral service and follow-up with referrals made.
- Participate in discussion with case management team to ensure clients are served holistically.
Others
- Support in volunteer management processes e.g. keep track of volunteering activities and hours, maintain volunteer database.
- Administrative duties which include data collection and reporting for reporting and evaluation purposes.
- Other work projects assigned by supervisor/management
Desired Skills and Competencies Technical Competencies:
- Minimum GCE 'O' levels, up to Diploma graduates.
- IT literate
Core Competencies:
- Good communication and social skills to work with different people.
- Pleasant personality.
- Team player, yet independent to carry out most functions.
- Strong interest in empowering and preserving the dignity of senior.
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
- Able to speak dialects will be an advantage as some elderlies are only able to speak dialects
