About the client:

Our client is a Series A funded Fintech start-up striving to revolutionise B2B payment by providing an all-in-one checkout solution that empowers businesses to pay now or later.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a B2B Business Development Manager located in Singapore, with flexibility for some remote work. The manager will be responsible for sourcing and developing B2B partnerships and strategic accounts, driving an influx of sales pipeline, cold-calling and setting up sales campaigns to improve top of funnel.


  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through market research, networking, and cold outreach to generate new business opportunities.
  • Client Outreach and Relationship Building: Initiate contact with potential clients, nurture relationships, and engage in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and posittion the company's products or services as solutions.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of the company's offerings and address any concerns or objections raised by clients.
  • Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare tailored proposals and negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with prospective clients to secure new business deals.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align strategies, gather feedback, and ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales activities, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, sales techniques, and product knowledge to enhance effectiveness and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Networking and Industry Events: Attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events to establish connections, promote the company's brand, and explore partnership opportunities.
  • Customer Feedback and Relationship Management: Gather feedback from clients, address their concerns, and maintain open lines of communication to foster long-term partnerships and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Adapting to Market Changes: Continuously adapt strategies and approaches based on feedback, market shifts, and emerging trends to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.


Qualifications

  • New Business Development and Lead Generation skills
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and build relationships with key accounts
  • Minimal 3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Knowledge of financial technology (fintech) or payment industry
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
