DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reports to Procurement Lead
· Ensuring all PR received in full complete details (request date, required date, WO no etc)
· Verifying with requestor on full description of items.
· Inputting PR into Maximo and creation of PO to be send to vendor.
· Sourcing of vendors/suppliers – Identify & Evaluate as and when required.
· Price negotiation / Communicate – Quantity, price (cost effectiveness), quality
· Close follow up on Priority request.
· Ensuring datelines are met – schedule, delivery on time, follow up
· POC between Suppliers & Technicians.
· Sourcing & Proposing of alternatives of OOS items
· Ensuring that all request of hazardous materials is approved
· Adhoc administrative duties as per assigned by Procurement Manager
· Reacting to changes in supporting demand
· Maintaining relationship with suppliers
· Meticulous, eye for details, initiative & able to cope in fast pace environment
· Gets approval from superior to proceed with order (Procurement Manager / Business Manager)
· Search for item ordered and process / liase with vendors on schedule date for jobs
· Liase with technicians on ad hoc jobs (emergency order / labour request)
· Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Customer service
· Weekly/monthly stock counts
· Dispensing stocks to user
· Inventory control
· Managing flow (ordering of stocks / liaising with supplier)
EDUCATION:
· High school or any related qualification/professional certificates
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistic/Procurement or Purchasing Department
*Class 3 Driving License is an added advantage
