Marketing Operations Manager

Salt is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who will support our client's regional operational cadences and improve team collaborations in JAPAC. This is a 12months extendable contract role. They will also establish and drive the JAPAC marketing variable budget planning processes and be on point for budget performance analysis, reporting, and tracking.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in business operations and budget management with a strong marketing background and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, and collaboration tools is required.


Responsibilities


Business Operations:

· We support and manage requirements of operational cadence team annually, quarterly, weekly operational cadence

· We support the production of GMO marketing and business reviews reporting and presentations

· We optimise team collaborations with tools and enablement, to bring about team productivity and efficiencies

Marketing Budget Management:

Budgeting operations

· We own and drive the GMO marketing variable budget planning processes for B2C and B2B businesses in Digital Media inc:

o Annual and quarterly budget planning, with alignment to business focus and targets, business segments, key solutions, customer journey, channel mix.

o Drive and manage quarterly incremental budget process cycles, with alignment and interlocks with global

· Refine the marketing budget input process and operational cadence to ensure timely, consistent, and integrated delivery of quarterly marketing readiness plans and reviews.

· Manage the budget plan requirements in alignment with Corporate finance

· Work closely with budget owners to reconcile budget to actual to drive spend linearity and accountability

You will be responsible for driving change and optimising the planning and budget processes. ​ Having leadership skills to influence and motivate others towards achieving goals is critical.

What you will do:

1. Collaboration: You will need to work closely with various stakeholders, including finance and business counterparts in both global and regional teams. ​ Therefore, having strong collaboration skills to effectively communicate and work with others is important.

2. Adaptability: You will manage budgets in a complex, matrixed global environment with multiple regional and global stakeholders. Being adaptable and flexible in dealing with changing priorities and requirements is crucial.

3. Problem-solving: You will be responsible for uncovering opportunities for improvement in the planning process and operational cadence. ​ Having strong problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges or inefficiencies is essential.

4. Analytical thinking: The role involves ongoing spend performance analysis, reporting, and tracking. ​Having strong analytical thinking skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights into investment strategy and marketing ROI is important.

5. Time management: You will need to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize competing tasks. ​Having good time management skills to ensure timely completion of responsibilities is necessary.

6. Communication: You will be required to provide insights, prepare content for business reviews, and communicate with various stakeholders. ​ Having excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas is crucial.

7. Attention to detail: The role requires handling budget plan requirements, reconciling budget and spend actuals, and ensuring budget data is structured for reporting. Having strong attention to detail to accurately manage and analyze financial information is important.

Requirements

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience of business operations and budget management with strong marketing background in B2C and B2B.

· Experience of marketing campaign and budget management in a multi national environment with multiple regional teams

· Good financial acumen and experienced in working with complex budget planning allocations and submissions.

· Highly analytical and able to provide recommendations to the business

· Excellent attention to detail with strong ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize competing tasks

· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint skillsets, Power BI and collaboration tools like sharepoint, TEAMS and project management tools.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Self-Starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
