Accounts Executive

As an accounts executive, you will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the hotel.


Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


Financial Transactions:

· Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

· Ensure all transactions are accurately and timely posted in the accounting system.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:

· Process and monitor vendor invoices and payments.

· Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.


Bank Reconciliation:

· Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

· Ensure accuracy of bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.


General Ledger Maintenance:

· Maintain and update the general ledger.

· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.

· Prepare and post journal entries.


Financial Reporting:

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Provide support during internal and external audits.


Compliance and Taxation:

· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.

· Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.


Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

· Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.


Other Duties:

· Support the finance team in various accounting projects and initiatives.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.


Qualification

· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially excel)

· Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent attention to details and accuracy

· Good organizational and time management skills
