At HP Singapore, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated User Experience Design Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design efforts across all stages of the product development lifecycle, ensuring a holistic customer journey. This role requires a hands-on designer with a strong background in user experience design, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and effective user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Product Design: Oversee the end-to-end (E2E) product design process, ensuring a holistic customer journey and cohesive user experience.
- User Experience Solutions: Research and design user experience solutions for products and service lines based on established design principles and in accordance with design strategy, practices, and guidelines.
- Research & Data Collection: Plan, validate, and implement research methods to test and gather user experience data; analyze, evaluate, describe, and report results and recommendations to design stakeholders.
- Design Implementation: Develop and implement user experience design plans, changes, specifications, and reusable design elements for new and existing products.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with management, internal, and outsourced design and development partners to coordinate design activities, evaluate concepts and offerings, and recommend and implement changes to products or services to improve user experience.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of designers, both internal and outsourced, to develop holistic, high-quality user experience solutions for moderate to complex projects, products, and services.
- Project Representation: Represent the user experience design team for all phases of larger and more complex development and design projects and programs.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
- Prototyping Skills: Proficient in prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie, etc., to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Innovation Mindset: Bring realistic solutions to life by solving customer problems with an innovative mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Design, Human Factors Engineering, Social Sciences research, or equivalent.
- Typically 4-8 years of experience in user experience design.
- Experience with the application of design theories, principles, and concepts to information technology and consumer product and service design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for user experience testing and acceptance.
- Ability to evaluate designs and make recommendations for improvements to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall user experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate user experience data, design proposals, and product specifications, and negotiate options at management levels.
