Job Title: Audio Visual Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Audio Technician to join our team for managing sound systems and audio equipment during events. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audio engineering, a keen ear for sound quality, and the ability to work effectively in live event environments.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio equipment including microphones, sound speakers, mixing boards, amplifiers, and related technology for live events.
Ensure proper sound levels and quality during rehearsals and performances, adjusting as necessary.
Collaborate with event organizers, producers, and performers to understand their audio requirements and provide technical support.
Conduct equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
Coordinate with other technical staff (lighting, video, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of audio components within the overall production.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in audio production.
Requirements:
Proven experience (3 years) as an Audio Technician or similar role in live events or entertainment industry.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various audio equipment and software (e.g., mixing consoles, audio processors, DAWs).
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and performers.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to audio equipment and live events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or formal training in audio engineering, sound production, or related field.
Experience with live sound reinforcement and familiarity with different venue setups.
Knowledge of different music genres and their audio requirements for live performances.
Familiarity with rigging and stage setup for audio equipment.
