What are we looking for?


DPS has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Engineer to work with one of the pharmaceutical clients in Singapore. Ideal candidate to join our client team to drive the mechanical integrity and reliability of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. Proficient in the application of engineering principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Adept at conducting a thorough inspection, failure analysis, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Strong collaborative and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will be expected to work in our client’s site across Singapore Island.


Job Scope:


Ensuring Compliance with Regulatory Standards

  • Ensure all mechanical equipment and systems comply with FDA, cGMP, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.

Conducting Risk-Based Inspections

  • Develop and implement risk-based inspection (RBI) programs to prioritize inspection activities based on equipment criticality and risk levels.
  • Perform regular inspections and assessments of mechanical systems to identify potential risks and ensure operational reliability.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance

  • Design and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of mechanical systems.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis and thermography, to detect early signs of equipment failure.

Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis

  • Conduct detailed failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure points and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on mechanical failures to determine underlying causes and recommend corrective actions.

Reliability Centered Maintenance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct reliability-centered maintenance study.
  • Facilitate the successful implementation of reliability-centered maintenance actions.

Technical Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including inspection findings, maintenance activities, and failure analysis results.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all mechanical integrity activities for internal and external audits.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to ensure the highest level of mechanical integrity.

Team Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and maintenance personnel.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all mechanical integrity activities adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent unforeseen incidents.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives.

Asset Management

  • Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of mechanical assets to maximize their value and performance.
  • Apply risk-based methodologies to prioritize asset management activities based on the criticality and risk associated with each asset.

Budgeting and Cost Control

  • Develop and manage budgets for mechanical integrity activities, including maintenance and inspection programs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control and reduce maintenance expenditures.

Any tasks as assigned by supervisor.


Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Mechanical engineering degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience or a diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical/ biological/ chemical/ oil & gas industries.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical integrity experience driving Asset Management and equipment performance.
  • Technical knowledge coupled with hands-on experience in maintenance of processing equipment.


Skills:


  • Comfortable working in a team and matrix environments; high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Scientific approach to solving problems; makes data-based decisions.
  • Keen in driving and adopting new technologies.
  • Knowledge of CMMS, Reliability, and proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
  • Knowledge on vibration analysis, RCA and RBI.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and a "hands-on" attitude.
  • cGMP experience is a plus.
