Main purpose of the role:
To be responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of all Middleware components like IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM MQ Series and Apache Tomcat.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Advise, support on System Architecture design and troubleshooting.
- Support and resolve application incident by checking system logs for in the event of any issue reported and to log/follow up ticket with software support (if required).
- Proactively monitor CVE/vulnerability bulletins/notifications & advise on the patches and impact.
- Perform patches and upgrades for the Middleware components.
- Support any issue due to patches on the Middleware components.
Requirement:
- 8-12 years of Experience in Middleware System Administration.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant. Any technical certification IT Infrastructure landscape added advantage.
- Working experience on Middleware components of IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM MQ Series, Apache, Tomcat.
- Working experience on RHEL Servers.
- Knowledge on MWAR HA/DR
- Patch management and Vulnerability Management (Must Have).
- Troubleshooting skills in MWAR related issues (Must Have).
- Extensive Experience in MWAR patching. (Must Have).
- Experience on Patch management tools like BigFix, SCCM etc. (Must Have).
- Perform Patch assessment and recommend/plan deployment.
- Experience on Automation of Pre and Post patching tasks.
- Log monitoring/maintenance.
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal Skills.
- The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
- Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment
- Able to work on weekends as per Roster and perform On-call support (during weekdays) as and when needed.
