Assistant Accounts Manager

You will perform the following duties; but not limited to:

  • To oversee & manage all accounts functions, supervise Accounts Executive, and manage external accounting service provider.
  • To manage all AR accounts receivable functions, which include invoicing via Sage Accounting software, progress claim, accrued revenue, WIP, and follow-up with debtors on receivables.
  • To manage all AP functions, including sales commission system.
  • To reconcile and manage bank accounts in different currencies daily.
  • To manage bank applications such as Letter of Credit and Performance Bond.
  • To check and approve the work of outsource accounting company, which undertakes the functions of bookkeeping, GST, and annual tax returns.
  • To ensure the accounting process complies with the law.
  • To assist with &/or prepare cashflow forecasting reports.
  • To assist with &/or prepare any other regulatory submissions.
  • To assist with &/or prepare financial reports for HQ in Japan.
  • To work closely with other departments (sales / project / supply chain) from beginning to the end of each project, to ensure receivables and payables are handled in proper compliance with accounting procedures, on time, and till completion.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounts
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Senior Accounts Executive / 2 years of experience as Assistant Accounts Manager
