Contract (16~24 mths)
As a key member of our Site Team, you will participate and deliver our Projects to the best of your abilities.
What will you be doing?
• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all works including all civil and architectural works, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, sewer system, etc
• Full-time supervision for new erection of buildings work
• Full-time supervision for extensive addition & alteration works to existing structures
• To coordinate the contractor, QP(S), QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works
• Ensure that proper and updated records of all works, including records of variation works, tests, inspections, work progress, materials and equipment/machinery on site, labour safety, provisional quantities, dayworks are kept
• Write daily reports on the work done by the contractor and the current staffing status on site
• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems and submit evaluation report endorsed by a PE
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation
• Adhere to the shift duty roster assigned by the Resident Engineer; Undertake any other duties including administrative task related to the project as and when instructed by the RE, OIC or Consultant
What do you need to have?
• Familiar with extensive A/A works to existing operational building
• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
• At least 10 years' working experience as a Resident Technical Officer
• Fully conversant with Building Control Act and Regulations. Able to systematically maintain site records, contract documents and meet reporting requirements under Building Control Act.
• Experience in civil works, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, sewer system, etc. will be an advantage
• Experience in ERSS (deep excavation) work will be an advantage
• Experience in demolition work will be an advantage
• Experience in reinforced concrete piling work including industrial building works is required
• Supervisory experience in architectural works is required
• Registered with IES/BCA as Resident Technical Officer
