Overview
As the Lead Engineer at Synapxe, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT Systems. As an experienced Systems Engineer, you will continue to optimise systems performance to ensure its availability. The role will allow you to contribute to the overall success of Synapxe and public healthcare.
Role and Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Lead the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions such as Server OS, Active Directory, VMware and related services.
- Ensure the architecture aligns with business objectives and best practices.
Systems Enhancement and Maintenance:
- Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement monitoring tools and systems to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.
- Continuously optimize system performance and capacity.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical systems and data.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures.
Troubleshooting and Resolution:
- Oversee the assessment of risks to systems.
- Identify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholders.
- Provide escalation support for issues presented by the user.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer systems, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 9 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of server administration, operating systems (Windows and Linux/Unix), virtualization technologies, and networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
