Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementation, and maintenance of IP Telephony networking solutions and services for customers. Communicate effectively with customers to gather information, explain technical details, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Configure and deploy network equipment and services according to the design specifications
- Install, test, and troubleshoot Nokia routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Ensure proper integration with existing customer infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the capacity planning team to anticipate future network needs and scalability requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing of deployed services to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the network configuration.
- Perform acceptance testing with customers to validate the deployed networking solutions.
- Monitor network performance and usage trends. Respond to and resolve network emergencies or outages promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Create as-built documentation for reference and future maintenance.
- Implement security measures to protect the network and customer data.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers or internal staff as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
- Involve in on-call rotations to address critical issues outside regular business hours.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other engineering or related studies with detailed understanding of IP/MPLS concepts, related technologies, and protocols.
- At least 5 - 10 years of project deployment experience in the telecom industry, dealing with IP telephony technologies, Network Management Systems for carrier networks, designing and deploying telecom networking equipment, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions, E2E Mobile Solutions, Mobile & Packet Core products and related technologies.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with carrier networking protocols (BGP/MPLS/etc), VPNs, QoS, Multicast, Security, etc.
- Proficient in scripting in both networking and virtualized environments.
- Strong data center networking knowledge
- Hands-on experience including design, build, deployment, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc in carrier networks.
- Industry certification such as Nokia SRA, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIA /JNCIE, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience deploying KVM, VMWare, OpenStack or CloudStack, OpenFlow
- Able to provide rotational standby on-call support
- Able to work on weekend and public holidays during critical project deployment phases.
