AV Media Specialist(School)

Duration:

• Contract Period: 19 Oct 2024 to 18 Oct 2025
• Option to Extend: Second year, from 19 Oct 2025 to 18 Oct 2026, at the discretion of the Authority.

Work Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm (inclusive of 1/2hr lunch break)
• Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm (inclusive of 1/2hr lunch break)
• Services may be required on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as needed, with compensatory off-days or time off-in-lieu provided.

Scope of Services:

• Support the selection, implementation, and management of AV and Media technologies.
• Provide technical support for teaching, learning, and operational processes.
• Manage AV equipment during school events and daily operations.
• Train and supervise AV CCA students and Media Club students.
• Maintain and manage the school's PA systems, audio-visual resources, and broadcast systems.
• Support photography, video recording, and editing needs for college events and educational purposes.
• Assist in procurement and management of AV equipment in compliance with school guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

A) AV Duties:

1. Manage PA systems and AV equipment during school events.
2. Support AV setup and technical issues during lessons.
3. Advise on AV needs and procure equipment as required.
4. Maintain and manage AV equipment across classrooms and special rooms.

B) Media Duties:

1. Support video and photo production for college events.
2. Manage school TV broadcast system and content.
3. Train students in AV and media skills.
4. Edit photos and videos for various school activities.

C) Other Duties:

• Perform other duties as assigned by school management.

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

• Minimum one year of experience in AV and Media support, preferably in MOE schools.
• Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum qualification of Nitec or higher in AV/Media related discipline.
