Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products are optimally displayed and stocked in stores to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with store personnel, monitoring and analysing competitor activities, and ensuring the effective execution of promotional activities. The Merchandiser will also support various events, maintain store counters, and perform stock take activities as required.


Key Responsibilities

1. Build Strong Relationships

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff.

· Gather feedback on product performance and sales to inform decisions and strategies.


2. Product Display and Stock Management

· Ensure all products are well displayed with ample stock levels.

· Check and manage stock rotation, ensuring near-expired stocks are removed and FIFO (first in, first out) is followed.


3. Competitor Analysis

· Monitor and update information on competitor activities and pricing.


4. Operational Communication

· Liaise and communicate effectively with superiors on all operational issues.


5. Display Space Management

· Secure additional free display space for products.


6. Event Support

· Assist with the setup, tear down, and support of events, atriums, and roadshows as required.


7. Price Tag and Promotional Setup

· Ensure all product price tags are displayed correctly.

· Set up promotional prices and shelf-talkers at the beginning of each promotional cycle.

· Ensure that every display is set up for each promotional cycle as committed.


8. Counter Maintenance

· Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the counter.


9. Stock Take

· Participate in stock take activities.


10. Adhoc Duties

· Perform any additional tasks assigned by the company.

Willing to work flexible hours; adaptable to changing tasks.
