Key Summary
The incumbent is responsible for transporting our Day Care Centre elderly clients to and from home, centre, outings, programmes or scheduled appointments on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely pick-up and drop off senior clients at designated points using the Foundation’s vehicle.
- Pick up and drop off course participants and staff when required.
- Maintain the community vehicle in good working condition and clean manner.
- Ensure the maximum safety of the passengers by adhering to precautionary measures, safety procedures and observing traffic rules at all times.
- Assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the implementation of activities for participants at the Centre/ their homes during individual therapy sessions and group activities.
- Provide personal care/escort assistance to the seniors.
- Provide blood pressure and blood sugar measurement and reading under supervision of a nurse.
Key Requirements
- Possess a valid Class 3 vocational driving license with minimum 3 years of driving experience (car/minivan) and a good driving track record.
- Knowledge and experience in therapy aid, nursing aid and eldercare will be an added advantage.
- Compassionate and caring with a penchant for working with the elderly.
- Possess sound judgement and is physically fit and healthy.
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin with basic understanding of local Chinese dialects would be highly preferred as you will be required to handle local elderly within the community.
