We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic local Singapore graduates with ITE & Diploma certifications to join our team as Solar Site Engineer. The ideal candidate should be willing to work under harsh conditions at project sites and possess a strong interest in renewable energy, particularly solar power systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Site Assessment and Preparation
· Assist in the evaluation and preparation of project sites for solar installations.
· Conduct site surveys and collect data necessary for the design and installation of solar systems.
· Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure all site conditions and requirements are met.
2. Installation and Commissioning:
· Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
· Work with PM to ensure installations comply with design specifications and safety standards.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation
3. Maintenance and Support:
· Perform regular maintenance checks on installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Assist in diagnosing and repairing any faults or issues with the solar equipment.
· Maintain accurate records of site activities, including installation progress, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
· Prepare and submit reports to senior engineers and project managers
4. Collaboration and Communication :
· Work closely with other team members, including electricians, technicians, and project managers.
· Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Criteria:
· ITE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
· Basic understanding of solar PV systems and renewable energy principles.
· Willingness to work outdoors and under harsh conditions.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
· Physically fit and able to handle the demands of on-site work.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with solar PV system installation or maintenance (internships or academic projects are acceptable).
· Familiarity with electrical drawings
· Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
· Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for site assessment and installation.
Working Conditions:
· Primarily outdoor work at various project sites.
· Exposure to varying weather conditions and potentially challenging environments.
· Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines.
