Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a detailed schedule using Primavera P6 for the sub-contract works, based on the requirements, constraints & deadlines for the JV program.
- Use a sensible Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) & allocate all activities & milestones to the WBS.
- Provide a detailed list of activities & milestones & link them with appropriate logic.
- Update the schedule with actual progress (& actual start/finish dates) weekly, and revise the schedule with more/better detail as it becomes available.
- Provide schedule reports, including progress updates of in Gantt chart view, and resource/cost histograms, as and when required.
- Assign an agreed set of activity codes to all tasks, so that appropriate filtering of the schedule can be undertaken.
- Ensure that the critical path of the project is agreed with the Project Manager at the commencement of the project, & is understood by all key site personnel. Advise of any changes to the critical path.
- Advise the Project Manager, & any key site personnel, of any major slippages in the works, particularly those affecting key/interim milestones.
- Suggest ways to recover from delays in the project, & ways to accelerate if required.
- Perform site planning, coordination & inspection relating to the construction project to ensure that project completion timeline, requirements and budget are met
- Update the progress of structural works in the Progress Reports
- Assist in commissioning including coordination structural engineering
- Maintain the proper documentation of inspection forms and other follow-up inspections from RE
- Prepare and interpret engineering plans & specifications and communicating technical requirement to sub-contractors, suppliers, clients and consultants
- Provide technical support and solutions to facilitate site condition and situation
- Resolve technical problems encountered during execution of projects
- Assist in preparing Construction Method Statements and other technical proposal
- Compile Progress Reports to update the progress of structural works in assigned project
- Liaise with Contracts department and Project Teams on drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents
Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years’ experience preferably in Construction planning and programme coordinator in Water Reclamation Plant Construction Project (MEICA Project)
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in project Planning and Program
- 5 years’ working experience in technical role in the Construction Industry
- Knowledgeable in Primavera/ Microsoft Project
- Qualified and experienced in planning and management of complex construction projects using Primavera P6 software
- Good knowledge of construction and general application of principles, theories and industry practices and standards
- Proficient in planning and schedulingtechniques
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects at one time
- Ability to analyse and synthesize complex issues quickly
- Willing to travel to Tuas for work
