This is a role to support the high growing Nalco Water Light business in Singapore. The Project Assistant is responsible to support the business growth by providing drafting service and deployment of equipment on site. He/She will also need to provide equipment servicing or troubleshooting support to ensure integrity of Nalco’s systems at customer sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager or project manager in project execution, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, formal contractual obligations and performance criteria.
- Assist the project manager or project engineer in calculation, technical clarification with customers and vendors.
- Work with project engineer and field organization representatives to meet the deadlines in all related work assigned,
- Provide technical support to site installation team to resolve technical challenges on site.
- Perform Testing and Commissioning to chemical treatment system and water or waste water treatment plant with the guidance of Project/Process Engineer.
- Responsible for routine site service to ensure equipment integrity and provide troubleshooting services.
- Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting for Nalco Water equipment installed at customer site.
- Provide site supervision service for installation work on site.
- Keep up to date with new innovations equipment developed internally.
- Utilises AutoCAD computer aided design (CAD) software to develop engineering drawings such as P&ID, Schematic diagram, GA and 3D model for water treatment systems.
- Design equipment 3D model and GA based on the requirements provided by the project / process engineers.
Requirements:
- At least a GCE O Level, Nitec or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of industry experience in Water treatment system
- At least 3 years of industry experience in electrical wiring and layout diagrams of control panel
- Proficient in Auto cad software (2D and 3D) and in-depth knowledge of designing chemical and water treatment system
- Have in-depth knowledge in optimum piping design and cost-effectiveness in water/wastewater treatment systems
- Proficient in using electrical tools for electrical testing and troubleshooting (eg. Multimeter)
- This is a 12 months contract role
