Job Description & Requirements
Location: Woodlands Care Home
As part of the Nursing Workforce for the Care Home, the Senior / Healthcare Assistant will assist both the Senior / Staff Nurse and Senior / Enrolled Nurse in the delivery of required and optimal level (quality care) of healthcare services, based on the defined care model, to residents in the home(s).
Handyman Functions:
- Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs
- Perform repair works on appliances except medical equipment under preventive maintenance
- Detect, report and monitor the needs for major maintenance work
- Regularly check Care Home to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns
- Respond to the clinical team request for repair and maintenance in a timely and professional manner;
- Repair plumbing, electrical and safety system in alignment to the requirement in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor
- Maintain the cleanliness of outside, spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks with appointed Soft FM vendor
- Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers in the company premises in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor
- Conduct routine performance checks on company assets such as refrigerators, microwaves, oven, wheelchairs, commodes etc.
- Provide support and guidance to the clinical team on maintaining their equipment in consultation with relevant equipment suppliers/ manufacturers
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role
- Experience in plumbing and electrical system
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
- Extremely organized with good communication skills
- Self-motivated and committed
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem solving
- Good team player
