Role:
This is a full-time onsite AV Media Specialist role in MOE School. If you are selected,
You will work closely with the HOD ICT, SH ICT, and the ICT Manager in an MOE school (near Choa Chu Kang MRT) in the day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:
A) AV Duties
1. Public Address (PA) Systems
- Train the AV CCA students to manage the Public Address System equipment during assembly and school events.
- Maintain PA systems in school – monitor, troubleshoot, provide maintenance and escalate unresolved problems to relevant vendors; coordinate with vendors on site where installation and repair works are required.
2. Audio-Visual Resources
- Manage AV equipment during all major school events.
- Handle all AV set-up requests for school events – ensure requests made by staff and external parties (pre-approved by P/VPs/HOD ICT/SH ICT/ICT Manager) are met.
- Maintain inventory and loan records of AV and Media-related equipment.
- Respond to requests for AV/Media technical support by staff when they face technical issues during lessons.
- Provide advice to HOD ICT, SH ICT and ICT Manager on the AV and media-related needs of the school and work with vendors to propose solutions.
- Assist in the purchase of AV and media-related equipment and services based on school’s needs (through bulk tenders, calling tenders and quotations), bearing in mind the Compliance Guidelines for school on Procurement.
- Provide assistance in the condemnation of AV and mediarelated resources.
- Manage AV equipment in classrooms and all other special rooms and monitor the equipment usage and maintenance on a termly basis.
3.Managing of AV and media-related equipment during events
- Provide support for school events and activities.
Example: CNY Concert, Farewell Assembly, College Day, staff contact time, weekly assemblies for students etc.
- Provide support required by the Project Work Department in the end-of-year A-level PW Oral Presentation Examination, including recording of videos.
4.Training of students from AV Club, Media Club and JP Press
- Training of AV students on use of AV and media equipment, and guiding them to the running of college events.
- Working with Media Club students and guiding them to improve their video-editing skills.
- Training JP Press students on photo-editing.
5.Broadcast System
- Maintain and upload contents for school TV broadcast system and TV Wall, including maintenance of the system.
6.Photo and Video-taking and editing
- Provide services for photography, recording and editing of videos; eg. taking individual photographs for new JC1 students and new staff, during school events and ad-hoc requests from teachers (pre-approved by HOD ICT/ SH ICT/ICT Manager).
- Create video and photo montages to support college events.
B) Other duties
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal/Vice Principals, HOD ICT, SH ICT and ICT Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Possesses at least one year of working experience in AV and Media support. (prior experience working in MOE schools would be considered).
- Possesses experience in photography and creation of video montages.
- Proficient in the use of photo and video editing software, such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier pro, Capcut etc.
- A dynamic team player who possesses good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses at least a Nitec or higher certification in AV/Media related discipline.

Summary:
Contract Period: From 19 Oct 2024 to 18 Oct 2025
Working Hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1/2hr lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1/2hr lunch break
- Services on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays, although quite rare, may be requested by the college when the need arises.
- Off-days/time off-in-lieu will be given to compensate staff for duties on weekends/public holidays.
