As a Microsoft Copilot Technology Specialist’s (Copilot TS) your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Modern Workplace of Microsoft 365 and Surface. Copilot TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for salespeople to further pursue. As a Copilot TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 suite, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker, Viva, and OEM Meeting/Calling devices sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies. Responsibilities
- Scale Copilot and Teams Customer Engagements: You will reach out to customers proactively and independently using knowledge of customer context; expertise in Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, and devices; depth knowledge in Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions; along with other technical and industry knowledge. Leading technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams including partners and CSU, leveraging knowledge of processes (e.g., Managed Service Provider [MSP], Managed Certified Professional [MCP]), tools, and programs (e.g., FastTrack, customer investment funding [ECIFs]) and leveraging foundational knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites).
- Build Strategy for Copilot and Teams: You will provide strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level, leveraging knowledge of partners, open-source solutions, and competitors in the Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions space. You will take knowledge of customer feedback, specific Microsoft Teams solutions, and their context in a competitive landscape and delivering core competitive knowledge back to engineering teams to enhance Microsoft Teams and Copilot capabilities and to develop compete strategies.
- Solution Design and Proof for Copilot and Teams: You will demonstrate (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva products, services, and integration; presenting and applying architecture patterns for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning; applying sales methodologies (e.g., MCEM); leveraging partner/customer teams as needed.
- Education: You will proactively identify learning gaps; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc. Practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture and demonstrating new and updated Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams products and services.
- Leverage Partner Ecosystem: You will act as the liaison between the partner and team and facilitating partner resources and processes. Identifying Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, devices, Frontline Worker and Viva skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with solution design, strategy building, and scaling of AI products
