RESPONSIBILITIES
Consulting & Strategy Development and Client Relations
- Effective communication and writing skills Provide overall strategic direction and quality standards and is dedicated to the achievement of outstanding results with a long-term perspective;
- Oversee a portfolio of clients and demonstrates the ability to profitably grow clients and build long lasting client relationships;
- Manage client expectations and quickly grasps problems, makes tough decisions and implements swift action plans to ensure client satisfaction;
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the client's business and challenges and proactively communicates with the client on market or industry issues and events which may affect them;
- Understands the Singapore local media landscape and has experience with regional account work;
- Proactively seek opportunities to expand value-add services to clients;
- Has strong understanding of integrated communications beyond media relations including influencer and paid strategies
Team Leadership
- Act as a leader to client teams and oversees team performance by prioritizing responsibilities and delegating tasks according to the capabilities and experience of team members and client budget and needs;
- Foster teamwork and build morale and motivation within account teams, ensuring that good performance and efforts are recognized;
- Take an active involvement in the recruitment process of new staff to complement existing team and deliver client programs;
- Can motivate and provide clear understanding of workflows and pathways to success for juniors and other team members
Account and Fiscal Management
- Act as a conduit between Finance and the client servicing team to ensure that accounts are profitably managed or to understand the reasons for over and under servicing;
- Ensure Contracts and Terms and Conditions of Business are issued and signed by all new clients prior to the commencement of work;
Business Development
- Actively develops own business contacts through professional activities to generate new business leads;
- Manage the entire new business process from attending briefing sessions to leading brainstorm sessions, delegating key tasks and developing new business proposals;
- Identify opportunities for organic growth with existing clients and introduces existing clients to Ruder Finn offices in other geographies to contribute to the global growth of the firm.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- At least 8-10 years of industry experience, PR/Communications agency preferred
- Strong skills in leadership and team management, including significant understanding and experience in staff development
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding and work experience with Corporate, Financial Services, Fintech or Enterprise Technology clients
