COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Overview
- To undergo training of the necessary MHE (Forklift, RC, PED) to assist with the picking activities
- To undergo training of using technology (RF gun) to assist with picking activities
- To remove damaged items from pick locations
- To be able to work in a fast pace environment
- To ensure workplace safety and housekeeping
- Carry 10-20kg and withstand walking/standing while performing task at hand
Responsibilities
- To comply to SWP and proper housekeeping
- To work closely with superior and expedite picking speed
- To achieve minimum picking productivity based on target set
- Remove of damage items and report to ICs on damage items
- Handle all items such as groceries with care
- Able to work independently on given task
- Motivated and result oriented
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Able to read and understand basic English
RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Warehouse Administration
- Knowledge of transportation receipts, proof-of-delivery.
- Ability to perform filing and scanning-related activities, and ability to check and process warehouse administration documentation
Warehouse Inventory Control/Audit
- Knowledge of inventory planning and replenishment systems
- Ability to extract inventory reports and follow procedures to assist with inventory auditing.
Warehouse Maintenance and Housekeeping
- Knowledge of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), workplace safety and health regulations
- Ability to implement safety checks for MHE and tools to ensure safety of users
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Administration
- Knowledge of documentation, system administration and software fault identification
- Ability to maintain IT logs and carry out testing to identify potential problems in computers, networks, hardware and/or software, IT logbooks or trackers
Warehouse/Cargo-related Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Knowledge of principles of warehouse hazards and principles of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act / Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
- Ability to support program implementation, incident reporting, checks, documentation on work areas, safety signage, safety devices and equipment in accordance with WSH requirements.
Equipment Maintenance
- Knowledge of maintenance of transport equipment such as conveyors, cranes, pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks and pallet trucks
- Knowledge of the maintenance of positioning equipment such as hoists, balancers and manipulators, and the maintenance of storage and handling equipment such as stacking frames, sliding racks and pallet racks
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Handling
- Knowledge of storage and upkeep procedures, Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), and conveyor and pick-to-light processes
- Ability to implement MHE operating handbooks and safety checks
- Working location: 37 Joo Koon Circle
- Working hours: 5 days work week (including public holidays and weekends) with rotating shift (7.30am to 5.03pm / 1.30pm to 11.03pm)
