- Ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
- Responsible for planning and implementing programs for young children.
- Engage children with activities to enhance their learning experience.
- Observe, assess and document children’s performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests.
- Establish relationships and communication with parents.
- Prepare field trips and other outdoor learning.
- Attend to children’s basic care giving needs, such as showering, feeding, and diaper changing.
- Enforce all administration policies and policies governing children.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool programs.
