We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Restaurant Cook to join our team. As a Cook specializing in Indian cuisine, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes that represent the rich culinary heritage of India. From traditional curries to tandoori specialties, your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering authentic flavors and exceptional dining experiences to our guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes from the Indian subcontinent, including but not limited to curries, tandoori meats, biryanis, and vegetarian specialties.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of food by adhering to standardized recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following hygiene and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook specializing in Indian cuisine, with a minimum of [3] years in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality food.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Certification from a culinary school or relevant training will be an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Food Handling and Safety.
  • Multilingual skills, especially proficiency in Hindi or regional Indian languages.
  • Experience working in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
