Job Responsibility:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determines welding requirements for both structural components and piping systems.
- Perform various welding techniques, including but not limited to MIG, TIG, stick, and flux core, to join metal component for structural frameworks and pipelines.
- Select appropriate welding procedures and material based on the project specificiation and welding codes.
- Operate welding equipment such as welding machines, torches, grinders and pipe beveling machines with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of structural members and pipe sections to prior to welding, using jigs, clamps and measuring tools as needed
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition through regular maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with other team members, including welders, fitters, inspectors and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including weld logs, material usage and inspections reports
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to workplace cleaniness standards.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum ITE or equivalent
- Certificate in welding techniques
- Have 1-2 years experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment
