The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services and solutions to protect the value and use of Disney’s information through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and
education across the enterprise. We protect the brand and reputation while enabling and supporting business objectives. GIS teams are located in Seatle, Burbank, Orlando, and New York.
In order to ensure that our services keep TWDC secure, we follow an ongoing, iterative process, including continued reevaluation of our services over time to address emerging threats as well as
changes in business and technology. This process includes:
1. Analysis of known and emerging threats to determine risks against TWDC assets
2. Creation, maintenance, governance and communication of security policies and standards across
TWDC
3. Assessment and audit of compliance against the security policies and standards
4. Assurance that TWDC assets are effectively managed and monitored to meet TWDC security criteria

GIS Compliance shares accountability with business segments to oversee information security control performance. The department is responsible for understanding and intrepreting requlated controls and
assessment requirements (Payment Card Industry, SOX, General Data Protection Regulations, Third Party Assessment) for TWDC.
The department facilitates and manages assessment programs, external audits, compliance validation services, and control testing. GIS Compliance partners with information security officers, control
owners, domain owners, compliance liasons, and system owners to monitor and report on compliance to TWDC information security policies and standards.
Responsibilities of the Role:
The Senior Staff, Compliance Specialist is responsible for:
• Collaborating with Legal, Procurement, Information security officers and business executives across
TWDC to establish standards and procedures to assess and monitor regulatory and security risks
resulting from the use of IT systems and external service providers.
• Lead governance, oversight, and operations of a portfolio of compliance programs, specifically:
• Third Party Risk management program
• Critical Vendor monitoring
• ISO 27001 Assessments and Certification
• Outside Counsel Security Assessments
• Information Security Contract Review
• Disaster Recovery Compliance
• Social Media Compliance
• Productity Suite Integration Compliance
• Service Organization Controls Reporting
• Stay abreast of compliance and assessment trends within the Company, Legislators, Suppliers and regulatory
bodies.
