Managing Director

"k" Line Logistics (singapore) Pte. Ltd.

Managing Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's business strategies
  • Provide strategic advice to the Board and Chairperson
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans
  • Plan cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Establish company policies and legal guidelines
  • Build long term, trusting relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Oversee the company's financial, operational and sales performance
  • Supervise the work of managers and executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Ensure a positive work environment (optional)
  • Ensure performance appraisal, staff training and professional development activities
  • Reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
  • Execute public speaking and representational appearances in a professional manner (optional)
  • Analyse problematic situations and occurances and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
  • Further develop and enhance company culture


Managing Director Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Required highly skilled and motivated Managing Director to join
  • Possess more than 20 years relevant experience in freight forwarding industry
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Hands on experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • In dept knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
  • Familiarity with data quality and scoring methodologies
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, leadership skill and hardworking
  • Irregular working hours and overseas business trips are required
  • Preferably be able to work in overseas office in long term by company's order
  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Problem solver, able to keep calm and efficient under pressure and in crisis
  • Japanese speaking is a must as MD is required to report to Japan HQ by using Japanese frequently. Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 Certificate or equivalent is required.
