Job Description:
To handle various roles and responsibilities related to maintenance, safety, and operations. To assist the Chief Engineer to implement the execution of preventive maintenance and repair schedules of all machinery, equipment and facilities and see to the proper execution by employee staff or external agencies or contractors.
Be well-organized and able to be hands-on to trouble-shoot and fix issues related air conditioning, plumbing, humidity related issues, all M&E issues, service provider management, and optimize efficiency while reducing operating costs.
1. Supervision and Coordination: Supervise staff facilities staff (handy-men) and external contractors, assigns tasks, and ensures smooth coordination. To collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs.
3. Emergency Repairs: Responding promptly to emergency repair requests, such as broken equipment, leaks, or power outages.
4. Managing AHUs (Air Handling Units): Ensuring proper airflow.
5. Ensuring the Fire Alarms and Safety Systems are compliance with safety regulations. Doing testing and maintaining fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting periodically. Implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for rooms, public areas, plants, and equipment.
6. Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
7. Monitoring water quality and ensuring safe drinking water and preventing Legionella growth. Doing periodic checks on water tanks, boilers, and cooling towers.
8. Ice Machine Maintenance: Regularly cleaning and sanitizing ice machines to prevent bacterial growth. Ice quality affects guest satisfaction.
9. Monitoring the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) levels in water.
10. Work Order Management: Handling work orders efficiently, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion.
11. To develop safety protocols procedures on equipment handling and best practices. Create training program and training to maintenance staff.
12. Trouble-shoot, plan and coordinate all installations and repairs of (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments. ensuring all equipment and facilities are well-maintained.
13. Hands-on as well as manage the upkeep of buildings, equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
14. Ensuring uninterrupted utility services - water, heat, lighting, and power throughout the hotel.
15. Collaboration: Working closely with the Engineer Manager, coordinate maintenance efforts, manage refurbishment projects, and ensure a professional approach to all tasks.
16. Any other jobs requested by management.
