Part of CIB’s Digital Channels & Data Analytics (“DCDA”), we are building a complete end-to-end, digital-first client journey from onboarding, transacting to servicing and reporting. We are passionate about developing and delivering Best in Class digital client experience through consistent, well designed, contextual user journeys across all our client touchpoints such as the web and mobile.

The Product Owner (“PO”) of Digital Identity & Authentication is a role in the DCDA team within Standard Chartered’s CIB client segment. The platform serves our global clients across our 45+ footprint markets. As the PO you will be responsible for shaping the S2B Platform strategy and roadmap in collaboration and alignment with CIB businesses, execute on it through disciplined product development, laser-focussed on delivery and time-to-speed. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver a world-class platform experience for our corporate clients.

Responsibilities

Strategy

· Standard Chartered Bank’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) has embarked on an ambitious journey to revolutionize digital banking by building innovative digital platform & products that competes not just with the Financial Institutions but with the new breed of Fintech companies. Digital Channels & Data Analytics (DCDA) is the core team within the bank which champions this vision and is responsible to drive the digitization agenda with our corporate and institutional clients.

Business

· As a Product Owner, you will help deliver the next generation corporate & institutional banking platform. You will work with talented team members across Product Management, Technology and client service partners to develop your product all the way from a conceptual stage to the product launch.

Processes

· You will have a key role in building innovative product capabilities, influence change, commercialize capabilities and enable our global digital platform in 40+ countries. You will be responsible to take the ideas through implementation in Agile Methodology as a “Product Owner”. You will continuously evaluate the ever-changing financial ecosystem and related emerging technologies in collaboration with our technology partners.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Engage internal stakeholders and teams across CIB Business, DCDA Technology, Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, Cybersecurity and Operations to align on the strategic direction of securing CIB’s Straight2Bank digital banking platform.

· Continuously evaluate the evolving threat landscape and related emerging technologies. Ensure we defend existing business and identify opportunities to build new wallet share providing best-in-class digital security & authentication capabilities.

· Own and deliver the product roadmap across identity & authentication and fraud risk management. Build and manage a product backlog by getting into the details of existing security & authentication solutions, understand client needs and usage, ascertain business relevance and come up with a product strategy and execution plan.

· Articulate change requests with concise, comprehensive and high-quality user story writing

· Support regular education and awareness efforts for both internal business stakeholders and clients through regular forums, discussions, events, training sessions and presentations.

Risk Management

· You take a proactive approach to risk management and on an ongoing basis will be identifying, assessing, monitoring, mitigating product risks related to your channel products.

· Perform risk assessments to ensure proper governance prior to product launch.

· Review the current arrangement and capabilities of digital security against the Bank and regulatory standards including outsourcing arrangements.

· To propose remediation, treatment and action points to meet / exceed the expected standards.

· Ensure the relevant department operational instructions are updated, mapped and aligned to the current digital security capabilities.

Governance

· You will work with regional and in-country teams to ensure the channel products are compliant to any relevant electronic banking and/or technology risk management guidelines issued by regulators.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Keep abreast with evolving regulatory changes to ensure products and solutions are compliant with relevant risk management guidelines / policies and procedures

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

· Timely completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training including e-learnings within stated timeframes

Our Ideal Candidate

· 8 years’ experience with a proven track record of working in the product management or channel management functions in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Having advanced experience in digital security and fraud management will be an advantage.

· Pertinent first-hand experience and a proven track record of working in the product management and development functions in CIB. Having advanced experience in digital security and fraud management will be an advantage.

· Good understanding of the product development lifecycle using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experience in drafting vision statements, epics and user stories, use cases documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level design documents.

· Deep understanding of the transaction banking, security standards and fraud management domain with a profound ability to conceive and design end-to-end product flows, define interface requirements, identify relevant operational processes and clearly articulate these flows and processes to the relevant business and technology workgroups.

· Prior knowledge and first-hand experience in regulatory, risk management and governance oriented assignments, particularly on technology risk management security and control standards and fraud management practices.

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills to manage complex application functionalities and conflicting business priorities.

· Proven inter-personal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across the globe in understanding client needs, training the frontline country staff, managing client queries and feedback etc.

· Understanding of technology; proven ability to translate technology possibilities and solutions to business / client usage opportunities will be an added advantage.

· Self-driven and highly motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and a passion towards delivering high-quality client solutions.
