Summary of Role
The Learning Specialist provides advisory services on learning solutions and interventions. You will liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand organisational requirements and objectives in order to diagnose performance gaps and evaluate learning opportunities.
You will develop courseware materials based on curriculum objectives and assessment of learning needs. You will also develop the learner user experience journey analysing the appropriate learning delivery modes as well as identifying opportunities to integrate learning technology and systems.
Responsibilities:
Analyse Learning Needs & Design Blended learning solutions
- Partner various Corporate Services functions to develop a blended learning curriculum for new staff onboarding, including microlearning modules using iSpring content authoring tool
- Manage Fei Yue’s central iSpring learning catalogue, including administration of user accounts and assignment of microlearning to respective learner groups
- Analyse learning needs gathered from Department Learning Priorities and individual learning plans to recommend learning programmes
- Identify appropriate learning delivery modes to facilitate achievement of learning experience objectives considering the learning styles and work environment of targeted learners
- Support in-house trainers in the delivery of blended learning, integrating relevant learning technology and workplace learning methods
Design curriculum and courseware materials
- Work closely with subject matter experts to extract and translate complex concepts into clear and accessible learning materials.
- Develop courseware materials based on analyses of curriculum objectives and specifications
- Analyse curriculum objectives to define assessment criteria and module breakdowns
- Determine appropriate assessment metrics and methods based on analyses of curriculum objectives and specifications
- Develop content for assessment materials and tools
- Develop user experience journeys to facilitate achievement of intuitive and user-friendly learning experience, eg. e-learning modules, multimedia presentations, and interactive simulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback for continuous improvement and iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing to enhance the learning experience.
Evaluate curriculum effectiveness
- Collect curriculum feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Analyse data to assess curriculum take-up rates, attendance and completion rates
- Evaluate outcomes of learner assessments to identify learning and performance gaps and trends
- Review feedback from learners and external stakeholders on the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions and interventions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in L&D and instructional design
- Possess DACE/DDDLP and ACTA/ACLP certification or equivalent certification related to Workplace Learning / instructional design
- Experience in design of learning interventions/programmes of different modalities (e.g. face-to-face, virtual, and blended)
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Good knowledge on learning management systems as well as course and learner evaluation methodology
- Strong project management skills with experience in all phases of the instructional design process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and possess good creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiar using iSpring to develop e-learning modules
- 2-year contract
