Job Description
As a Non-Volatile Memory QRA (NVMQRA) Solid State Drive (SSD) Qual EFA Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for supporting electrical failure analysis from quality and reliability trials of Micron SSD products during product qualification. You will analyze the units that did not pass the required quality and reliability trials. You are expected to conduct failure analysis from qualification, evaluation and OQRM failures and report the resulting data. In this role you will work with various Engineering and Quality Reliability Assurance Groups to provide technical support, expertise, consultation and training. You should expect to support customers both internal and external to Micron on an on-going basis.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Perform Failure Analysis (FA) of rejects
- Perform initial FA, including debug data capture and analysis
- Perform Automated Test Equipment (ATE) analysis and interpret results
- Perform detailed fault isolation once failure has been confirmed
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources and support groups to identify root cause and corrective action
- Summarize findings and submit for Component / Firmware / SSD FA
- Provide FA Diagnostic Reports to Internal Customers
- Summarize analysis at electrical and physical level at consolidated database like JIRA
- Manage Communication of FA Results to Internal Teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Wafer fabrication process / device physics / NAND device operation / SSD operation
- Knowledge of various SSD protocol standards such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, or NVMe .
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills
5 years of experience in any of the following:
- Prior hands-on experience with hands-on electrical failure analysis will be desirable.
- Applied knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, logic and/or interface protocol analyzers
- Prior experience with SSD/MNAND/NAND product analysis
