Title: IAM Governance Specialist


The Cybersecurity - Identity Access Management (IAM) Governance Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management policies, procedures, and technologies. This role focuses on ensuring the right individuals have the appropriate access to technology resources while maintaining compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:


IAM Strategy and Governance

  • Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design and implement IAM governance frameworks.
  • Ensure IAM processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Access Management
  • Oversee user access provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic access reviews.
  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and attribute-based access controls (ABAC).
  • Manage and maintain IAM tools and technologies, such as identity governance and administration (IGA) systems.

Identity Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and manage processes for identity creation, maintenance, and deletion.
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for identity lifecycle activities.
  • Monitor and analyze IAM metrics to identify and address potential issues.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of IAM processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate IAM-related risks through proactive monitoring and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for IAM-related findings and vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in identity and access management, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing IAM frameworks and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with IAM technologies such as IGA, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and NIST.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
